Cheese and Tomato Strata Breakfast





This strata requires sprouted grain bread, which Zibdeh prefers over everyday bread. Chickpeas upload fiber or even greater protein, at the same time as the goat cheese makes this extra delicious. Bake beforehand of time, then reheat a serving in the morning.

INGREDIENTS
  • 10 massive eggs
  • ½ cup 2% milk
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 slices sprouted grain bread, cut in rough 1-inch squares
  • 1 pint (2 cups) cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 15-ounce can chickpeas, rinsed and tired
  • ¼ cup basil leaves, roughly chopped
  • 4 oz fresh goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon greater virgin olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In a massive mixing bowl, whisk collectively the eggs, milk, and salt. Add the bread and toss so that each one of the bread is saturated with liquid. Refrigerate the mixture and permit it sit for as a minimum 2 hours and up to in a single day.

To reheat the strata: Microwave for 1 minute on excessive, or reheat in a 375°F oven for 5 mins, simply to heat thru.
