Baked French Toast Sticks Breakfast

Ingredients
  •     2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  •     1 tsp floor cinnamon
  •     1 cup complete milk
  •     4 massive eggs
  •     1 tsp vanilla extract
  •     1 pinch salt
  •     8 slices Texas toast bread
  •     2 Tbsp butter , melted, plus extra for serving if desired
  •     Maple syrup , for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 18 through thirteen-inch baking sheet with parchment paper. In a small bowl whisk together sugar and cinnamon, set apart.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl vigorously whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla and salt until very well combined. Cut each slice of bread into even three strips (you may layer some slices to cut several at a time). Dip each element (I commonly dip 2 sticks at a time) into egg aggregate then carry and let extra run off and switch to organized baking sheet (they may must suit closely collectively but leave only a little space among them). Using a basting brush, brush tops of french toast sticks lightly with 1 Tbsp of the melted butter. Sprinkle tops evenly with 1/2 of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake in preheated oven for 13 mins. Remove from oven, turn french toast sticks to contrary side and brush tops gently with closing 1 Tbsp melted butter and sprinkle flippantly with final cinnamon sugar aggregate. Return to oven and keep to bake till cooked thru, approximately thirteen - 18 mins longer. Let cool for a couple of minutes. Brush lightly with a bit extra melted butter if favored and serve warm with maple syrup for dipping.
