Cinnamon French Toast Sticks






French toast you can consume along with your arms and tastes like cinnamon doughnuts!
Course: Breakfast, Brunch

Ingredients

  •     four thick slices white bread, ideally stale (Note 1)
  •     2 eggs
  •     1/four cup milk
  •     Salt
  •     1/3 cup white sugar
  •     1 tsp cinnamon powder
  •     three tbsp butter
  •     Maple syrup to serve (non-compulsory)

Instructions

    

  1. Remove crust of every slice, then reduce every into 3 identical thick batons.   
  2. Combine the eggs, milk and a pinch of salt in a bowl huge enough to roll the bread sticks in.   
  3. Combine the cinnamon and sugar on a plate.   
  4. Melt 2 tbsp of the butter in a massive pan over medium excessive heat.   
  5. Roll the sticks inside the egg aggregate quick (do not soak them), shake off excess and place in pan. Cook in 2 batches.   
  6. Turn to prepare dinner each aspect till golden.   
  7. Immediately switch to the plate with the cinnamon sugar and roll to coat. It's essential to try this quickly even as they're hot immediately out of the pan so it sticks.   
  8. Melt last butter and cook dinner the final french toast sticks.   
  9. Serve immediately with maple syrup to dunk the sticks in.

Notes
Cut the slices thick sufficient so when you cut the crusts off then cut into three batons, the slices are thick,
